The basics
What is FundKapital?
We are the fintech that advances the money from your confirmed Airbnb and Booking reservations. Instead of waiting for check-in, you receive the cash today. No banks, no credit bureau, no paperwork.
Is FundKapital a bank?
No. We are not a bank or a credit institution. This is factoring: we purchase your receivables, meaning reservations that are already confirmed, at a discount. You receive most of the money today and we collect when the platform payment arrives.
Which countries do you operate in?
We are starting in Mexico. Colombia, Spain, and the United States are next. If your market is not live yet, sign up anyway and we will let you know as soon as we open.
Is it safe to use?
Yes. Payments run through Stripe Connect, the same infrastructure used by Shopify and Lyft, and Airbnb and Booking connections use OAuth. We never store your passwords. Everything moves with end-to-end encryption.
About the advances
How much can I advance?
Up to 90% of the value of each confirmed reservation. The exact percentage depends on your host profile, your history, and the risk evaluation of that specific reservation.
How long does it take for the money to arrive?
Less than 24 business hours after we approve the advance. The deposit goes straight to your registered bank account.
Do I need a guarantor or collateral?
No. Your only collateral is your confirmed reservations. We do not ask for guarantors, property collateral, or credit bureau checks.
Can I advance reservations from multiple properties?
Yes. You connect as many properties as you want and each reservation is evaluated separately. If you manage a portfolio, each listing operates independently.
How many active advances can I have?
There is no fixed limit. As long as you have eligible reservations and your profile supports it, you can have multiple advances at the same time.
What happens if my request is rejected?
We share the general reasons and you can apply again once you have more confirmed reservations or when your profile changes. Nothing is reported to a credit bureau and nothing external is affected.
Fees and payments
How much do you charge?
Between 8% and 12% of the amount you advance, depending on how close check-in is. Less than 15 days: 8%. Between 15 and 45 days: 10%. More than 45 days: 12%. No monthly fees or annual fees.
When do you charge me?
When Airbnb or Booking pays us for the reservation. We automatically retain the advance plus the fee and the rest goes to you. You do nothing. It happens automatically.
Are there hidden costs?
No. The advance fee is the only thing we charge. Account opening, maintenance, transfers, and connecting platforms are all free.
What happens if the guest cancels?
It depends on your policy. If your policy is moderate or strict and the platform pays part of the amount, we adjust. If there is a full refund, you repay the advance within 15 days, with no penalty.
Connecting Airbnb and Booking
Which platforms do you support?
Today: Airbnb and Booking.com. On the way: Vrbo, Expedia, and other vacation rental platforms. If you use a specific one, write to us. We prioritize based on demand.
Is it safe to connect my Airbnb or Booking account?
Yes. We use OAuth, the same standard behind “Sign in with Google.” We never see your password. We only receive permission to read your confirmed reservations.
Can I disconnect whenever I want?
Yes, from your Connections section. Just remember that if you have active advances, the payment obligations remain. Disconnecting does not cancel them.
How often do my reservations sync?
Several times a day, automatically. If you want to see something immediately, you can force a sync from your dashboard.
